Tantric Numerology and The Game of Love!

Sat Nam ALL!

Your unique, infinite and sacred heart is the only place that is perfectly in tune with your Soul at all times. It is your very own sacred temple, and it is right there within you . Your Soul is truly your inner teacher and it is well equipped to show you exactly how you can create a positive and sustainable future for yourselves, your children and your communities.

I am amazed every day at how many people, in our community and abroad, that are awake and responding to this irresistible need for change, while many more are in the process of waking up to this inner urge. These individuals are learning to choose their hearts over their egos, and as Guru Nanak said, they are learning, "To walk with their heads in their hands." The time has come to walk together, let us meditate as ONE Heart, let us sing as ONE voice, and let us all commit our hearts and minds to playing the one game which truly matters, The Game of Love.

About The Game of Love:
Every game has certain rules which one must follow. In this game many of us are learning the rules as we go. Learning through trial and error is a long, slow, and treachorous path, but it cannot be avoided. However, there is an inner light that, once it becomes illuminated, makes the road more brightly lit. After this inner illumination it is easier to observe the obstacles and pitfalls ahead of you. You effortlessly and intuitively know where to go and where it is no longer in your best interests to wander. All the mystics, yogis and saints have spoken of this light and the method by which it comes to be known.

”There are two ways of living in the world: the way of worry and the way of relaxation. If you worry, you have to concentrate to imagine, and it becomes physical work. But if you turn your mind to the Universal Mind, then things will come to you.“ -Yogi Bhajan

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation has been combined with the blessings of Tantric Numerology, to reveal what Yogi Bhajan referred to as the Science of Applied Consciousness. This system is truly unique in that it unites both experience and knowledge. Unlike many other methods of Numerology, which were used primarily for insight into the past or future, formal divination or other predictive purposes, Tantric Numerology facilitates the meeting of the Past and the Future in the Present Moment. It is literally the intersection of the "Warp and the Woof", the vertical and horizontal threads that make up the fabric of existence . To be truly Tantric, a system must utilize the diagonal energy which arises as the Male (positive) and Female (negative) polarities (i.e, space and time) crossover and intersect. True Tantric insight can be experienced within the context of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, White Tantric Yoga or through the practical application of Tantric Numerology.

"In a parallel and perpendicular universe, the power lies in the diagonal energy."- Yogi Bhajan

This unique system of learning was considered to be independent of all other systems and yet all systems of knowledge had their roots on this tree. It is a complete and living structure, because its essence and source is within the structure of consciousness itself.
Tantric Numerology describes the 10-in-1 Human being, and was kept secret for thousands of years, until it was courageously and fearlessly revealed by Yogi Bhajan.

Without this complete understanding of the 10-in-1 Human Being, including the unity of the Creator and the Creation, humanity has been made to feel limited, isolated, inferior, and doubtful. Intentionally misled and misinformed by power hungry oligarchies, greedy religious authorities, deceitful political, industrial and military machines and cruel personal dictators. Humanity has sufferd throuh the Piscean era and has attempted to find the God "without" (God outside of himself). Believing in a Divinity that was purely transcendant and seperate from Mankind itself was the trademark of the legacy of the Piscean Age, an Age that was characterized by greed, ignorance, violence and cruelty, as much as it was by invention, knowledge, reform, technology, religion and sacrifice.

Tantric Numerology, combined with a daily sadhana (discipline), is truly an ideal technology relevant for the coming Aquarian Age. With its emphasis on unity, it requires a deep level of experience and commitment to master both the system and oneself. It was once believed that such a system of knowledge when, combined with a spiritual discipline such as Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, would make a man or woman as independent, aware, knowledgeable, radiant and graceful as any Human Being could be. Much more than just Numerology this system of knowledge was the most guarded secret of the yogis, mystics, and Kabbalists!

We are approaching an unprecedented period of total and rapid transformaion on an individual, local, and global level. It is becoming increasingly important that we shift our values, actions, thought patterns and powerful intentions away from our limited egos, with its selfish, habitual and fear motivated pursuits. As we turn towards the light of our beautiful, compassionate, and receptive hearts we are being called to act in service to our higher-selves. A regular Sadhana (daily practice) of Yoga and Meditation combined with the insights gleaned from the fun and exciting study of Tantric Numerology is one way, that I believe we can facilitate that change!

These two technologies go hand in hand and are truly universally united. Just as there can be no knowledge or higher learning without engaging in both Study and Practice, there can be no higher development of the human consciousness without discipline, experience, and the expanding of one's own self-knowledge.

Love to all!

8/8/08 Numerology, Prosperity Meditations, and More! 8/26/08 Yogi Bhajan's Birthday Anniversary Celebration

Numerology of 8!

Wow, according to Tantric Numerology, today's date is ruled by four Eights!! 8/8/08 (3 8's) but if you add together the entire date* (8+8+2+0+0+8=26). (2+6=8!) Yogi Bhajan said 26 is the number of the code Mantra Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam Siri Wahe Guru.

According to Yogi Bhajan, it is the Ashtang Mantra** Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam Siri Wahe Guru that unlocks Time and Space within the Kali Yuga. All mantras are good but this one is very effective and useful for this age.

* the sum of all numbers in any date is called the path or destiny number!

**Ashtang Mantra Definition: Ashtang=8, "Man" is Mind, and "Tra" is wave; motion

Many people are talking about the significance of 8/8/08 and there are many worldwide meditations occurring around the globe today including the opening celebration of the Olympics. Most people are unaware of two significant aspects of this rare numerological opportunity.

The first is that there are four eights (not three) in todays' date.

The second is that this is not the only time this month that we will be guided by the infinite power of four eights! The second time is a very special day to all Kundalini yogis! 8/26/2008 is Yogi Bhajan's Birthday! This day is also ruled by four eights giving a grand total of eight eights or eight x eight this month!!! (8*8=64)

(There were a total of 64 graduates in the class of '08 at  BBSH!)

Yogi Bhajan's Birthday Anniversary: August 26, 2008

August 15 - August 25, chant 31 minutes of Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das Guru at any time of the day.

Then on August 26, worldwide simultaneous meditation, beginning at 3:00 AM Pacific Daylight Savings Time: chant Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das Guru for 11 minutes followed by 2.5 hours of Long Ek Ong Kars

(Ashtang aka Adi Shakti Mantra: Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam Siri Wahe Guru) at a time best suited to your time zone.

Copy and paste the following links into your browser to hear a version of these 2 mantras or to meditate along with the music:

What is significant about 8*8 or 64 is that this is the same number of codons within the Human DNA! Eight has many meanings in numerology, but I will try to give you a simple idea of the significance of this mysterious and powerful number.

  • Eight is the Number of the Pranic Body!
  • Eight is a number related to energy in all forms: vitality, money, sex, and power
  • Eight is related to fearlessness and fear. When the Pranic body is strong and we are connected to infinity no fear can exist. When the pranic body is weak or we feel a lack of vitality we feel disconnected, alienated and fearful.
  • Eight is related to polarity. The symbol for eight is two circles connected. On its side it is called infinity. Each circle represents one half of a polarity. Earth/Ether, Male/female, finite/infinite, light/dark, etc... The lessons of the eight are to balance polarity and release our bondage to our projections and "the shadow". Realizing that both sides are intimately connected and not opposed to each other. Each one's existence is dependent upon the other.
  • The Eight could be a Warrior, a business man, a healer, someone in authority or anyone with a good Executive Mind.

There is one more thing about the Eight that you may personally want to look into, meditate on, explore, or research:

Eight is the Number of Prakirti (Prakriti in Sanskrit). Prakriti according to the Science of Ayurveda is the Universal constitution. Prakriti is Nature's blueprint for creation. Creation is a highly ordered and dynamic process that follows definite and fundamental patterns. It is beautiful and reassuringly simple that this infinitely versatile and dynamic creation can be reduced to simple mathematical principles that are universally present within all cultures, independent of time and space.

One can find the same format and principles of creation everywhere, utilizing the eight (prakriti), providing that you know where to look.

Here are some hints for those who wish to conquer the mystery of the eight and unleash its infinite power. Firstly, research alone will never be enough. You may be able to see the beauty and unity of creation and may even be able to use its power for your own benefit but if you do not feel and experience yourself a part of that Totality than you will always be looking outside for answers. This has been Man's path for the last two thousand years, the attempt to dominate nature and manipulate it to our own selfish needs can only lead to endless pain and suffering for millions and billions of people. I encourage anyone who wishes to understand the inherent power of the eight to go beyond the level of the mind to the realm of emptiness (formless space) and awareness which the Mind (space with form and creation) arises out of. It is within this emptiness and pure awareness that the true mysteries are unveiled.

Secondly, if you are prone to mathematical puzzles, or meditative techniques involving yantras, images, or magic squares there are numerous knowledge "toys" (I like toys better than tools) based on the number 8 (and other key numbers) from within all cultural and mystical systems. Some examples are the Magic squares of eight (used by Ben Franklin and other famous figures) including the chessboard* (8*8 grid), the Tzolkin of the Maya, the I Ching, The DNA code itself, Superstring theory, Musical Theory and the Platonic sciences, the Kabbalah and more.

*The Game of Chess was originally called the Art of Asha (the game of Kings or the King of games). It was a knowledge system designed for developing wisdom, understanding and strategy. It was packed with metaphysical principles and the inner workings of creation.

I will end this blog/article with a prosperity meditation that you can practice throughout this infinitely vital period.

Prosperity Meditation:

Sit in Easy Pose. The hands are in gyan mudra (the fingertips of forefinger and thumbs are touching). The arms are crossed over the chest, so that the hands are resting on the shoulders in the gyan mudra position. The eyes are closed. Chant the following mantra for 31 minutes:

“Har, haray, haree, wahay guroo”

“This meditation covers the four corners, up and down and all around. It covers a person’s destiny of words.” (Yogi Bhajan, 9/27/00)

Vision of Healing Service: Healing Symbols Cont.

Vision of Healing Service

Intention: We all seek to live our lives in harmony and resonance with the world around us. To achieve this delicate balance within our modern condition is exceedingly difficult and complex. Humans, like the natural world around us, contain an internal balancing system. This balancing system is an essential component to all living systems and can also be called the Healing System.  Ancient cultures respected the delicate healing system contained within the natural world. They created elaborate rituals and celebrated each day as a way of honoring and maintaining the fragile balance that they observed all around them.  They marveled at their ability to interact and co-create their own reality within this harmonious matrix.   They frequently gave thanks and offerings to a benevolent creator who positively supported their existence.  This model of a benevolent universe that is harmonically constructed and is an embodiment of consciousness itself is not unique to ancient cultures.

Like many people my first experiences of this incredibly intertwined, delicate, and living tapestry, that is the very fabric of existence, came as the result of a personal journey of self-discovery. It did not come as a result of any traditional values imposed upon me during my childhood or through any voluntary cultural participation in an organized religion or other institution.  In fact, only by breaking free from many of the limiting cultural traditions and expectations did I become aware of a deeper and more personal connection with the natural and supernatural worlds. I feel that this vision must become more than a personal perception or even a personal discovery. Like ancient cultures before us, this vision must be integrated and combined within our modern cultural field or shared belief system.

What I had caught a glimpse of through my own inner journey can be called the Divine Matrix or sacred order of reality. It is this same divine matrix that I experienced so strongly during my 4 years at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing (BBSH) and it is this very matrix that supported me in my journey of becoming a Healer. As a healer I seek to be a reflection of this sacred order and to serve others on their path to health and happiness. The very definition of a “Healer” to me is someone who is in harmony and balance with the world around them.  It is only through this awareness of our connection to all forms of life that we begin to embody the qualities of healing; harmony, balance, presence, peace, inner calm, truthfulness and centeredness, among others.

Healing Symbols:Part 1

My service project combines Healing Symbols, Kundalini Yoga and Numerology, with the BBSH Healing and PD Skills. The purpose of my paper is to activate layers of deep cellular memory in the reader.  To awaken a primal knowledge that is as old and wise as time itself.

This paper is a direct link to the rich source of intuitive knowledge that has existed through all time and space. This knowledge will always be available to those who have earned and been granted access to it. It is a manifestation of the “Golden Chain”, an invincible link, connecting teacher to student, which has overcome the innumerable tests of time and space. It is made available out of the infinite kindness and compassion of the enduring wisdom traditions. Infinite names and forms have described it and yet it has no name or form. It can never be defined or measured yet it is the source of all definition and measurement.  To the ancient Mayans it was called “Hunab Ku” or The One Giver of Movement and Measure.

 Hunab Ku:

Central to the Mayan outlook was the concept of Harmonic Resonance. Hunab Ku represents the Galactic core. It is the knowledge and understanding which passes through this opening in the galactic center, at certain times and intervals, which acts as an initiatory impulse in the hearts and minds of men who have ears to heed the call.

According to the Mayans, Hopis, and many other indigenous cultures, we are currently in the midst of a great transition in consciousness. In other words humanity is in a process of waking up from a deep slumber that has gone on for thousands of years. This new Age is called the Age of Itza --Age of Consciousness according to the Mayan Elders.

My spiritual teacher, Siri Singh Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa (Yogi Bhajan) and many others, have called this cusp period the dawning of the Aquarian Age. It is on the winter solstice of December 21, 2012 that our planet will align with the gateway of the galaxies, the Hunab Ku, and a new ray of energy and movement will begin to enter our solar system from this center.  It is during this cusp period that the majority of us at BBSH have begun our journey as healers.  As the Confucian Curse so ironically states, “May you be blessed to live in uninteresting times.” There is not one human being among us who has not incarnated into these “interesting times” without a reason and a purpose.  My prayer is that this service project may help to awaken the enlightened seed of that purpose in one or more sentient beings.

Healing Symbols: A guide to understanding time and other paradoxes

At the request of many friends, peers, colleagues, family members and individuals in my community I will begin posting my service project which I created for my final project at BBSH. It was truly a blessing to be given the opportunity to concretely focus my attention and vision for my healing service, which became quite clear through writing this paper. I am so grateful for the experience of presenting this paper to my fellow classmates and friends at BBSH.
That was truly an amazing experience! I am also appreciative of the priceless gifts of essence and creativity which have manifested as a result of embarking on a healing journey and uncovering my purpose and vision of service which is reflected in this work. I present this with the goal of sharing my love, passion, and creativity as a reminder and impetus for others to look deep into their hearts and souls and see the precious jewels that are waiting to be polished and revealed. I believe it is each individual's destiny to uncover their unique purpose, longing and essence. As it is revealed, it becomes our obligation to share these gifts with others so that we may receive the joys of recognition (re-cognition).  This may come about (as it did for me) through a uniting of ancient and modern wisdom, a rediscovery of one's childhood dreams, or merely through  a deep and profound transformation that cannot be expressed through words.
Finally I am grateful for the impeccable guidance and wisdom that I received through every step of the way. The messages were revealed through natural and mysterious sources both day and night. I heard the voices of the wind, sun, and moon whispering to me to remember who I was and what I was here to bring forth.  Thank you, I love you, In Lak'ech.

Maya Kundalini Connection!

Sat Nam All,
I have been studying the Kundalini-Maya connections for several years and have found it extremely fascinating. Recently I was seriously disappointed by the lack of open mindedness and intelligence displayed when someone ferociously and unreproachably decided to deny any and all possible connections between the Maya and their knowledge of Kundalini. Not only were they completely unaware of what they were talking about but the person ignorantly and childishly decided to cast perjoritave and vitriolic comments about a well known and highly respectable Mayan Elder and Shaman (who they had never met and knew almost nothing about). I have read much of this Shaman's work and found it to be without question of a high value and integrity.

The words of any shaman, yogi or healer are always debatable. As Yogi Bhajan said,"Every opinion has an objection". I have no problem with anyone challenging a teaching based on their own understanding, personal or professional experience or on factual grounds. It is also essential that the focus be on the teaching itself and not on an emotional reaction or unconscious prejudice towards the "teacher" or the subject itself.

"Anytime time you project negatively about anyone, a person you know or a spiritual figure whom you don't know, and you don't create a space or way for that person in a neutral mind to respond in a graceful manner, it is slander."  Krishna Singh Khalsa

You also create a karma and and are negatively projecting your own face or "lack of grace" onto another. The blatant and unjustifiable criticism which has no other ground or basis than another person's authority is a poor method of achieving any sort of higher understanding. Knowledge can occasionally be expanded upon and even uncovered from an intelligent dialogue or an intellectual debate. However, knowledge can never be discovered by a closed mind that has no other method of communicating than criticism, slander, and denial. It is precisely because there exists in this world such a large number of people that rely on this type of intellectual process and procedure of criticism and denial that the ancient wisdom was kept secret, passed down orally and preserved only in analogy and symbolism. The ancients knew that wisdom was to be reserved for those who could use it to help others and be of service to their environments . To share this wisdom with people who cared solely for power over others and who wished to intellectually justify their own egoic desires was to potentially create a situation that would be harmful for everyone involved.

The person who challenged the validity of Hunbatz Men and other indigenous shamans,"scholars", or the many individual truth seekers (many who have personally done their own research that shows that the Mayan culture had advanced knowledge of Kundalini yoga) was probably, in her own mind, engaging in valid discrimination. One unidentified source claimed that Hunbatz Men was notorious for saying anything, "To the New Age community just to make a buck". This statement was supposedly made by a leading expert and Mayan "scholar". This perfectly illustrates the lack of ethics and the abundance of slander and negative intentions which plague the so called "scholarly" community.

I am curious if the poster had bothered to read any of Hunbatz Men's published books herself or was she merely relying on the authoritative claim of another person.

The reliance on discriminative knowledge is what sets the scientific community aside and which theoretically, and on occasion, actually elevates them above other sources of information. How much so called "scholarly" or "scientific" wisdom is actually regurgitated and unquestioned authoritative knowledge rather than true discriminative knowledge based on a thorough and neutral analysis of information and facts? I have read several of Hunbatz Men's books and found them to be as "scholarly" as any other books on the subject. It is true that he is presenting throries that may be unique to a few but they are always backed up either through mayan iconography, archeology or some other factual basis, including the authentic lineage of the various wisdom traditions. It also may be that this specific Elder, Leader,Healer,Teacher and Shaman is coming to his own conclusions, many which contradict or ar are controversial to more traditional (european and american, non-indeginious) interpretations but isn't that precisely what we are trying to do as yogi's and truth seekers. Our goal is to explore mind, space and world with wakefulness and discover for ourselves what we already know to be true within the very core of our beings. As Yogi's we can appreciate and rely on our own intuitive knowledge and will hopefully respect the intuition of others, in addition to valuing discriminative and of course authoritative knowledge. These three types of knowledge do not have to be opposed to one another and in fact compliment each other greatly, provided that the source is reflecting of their own highest wisdom and not of their negative intentions to remain in duality and separate from all of existence.

If Kundalini phenomenon and symbolism is truly "Universal" as Joseph Campbell found it to be, then it should not be hard to believe that it can be found in every culture which had a mystical tradition of looking within. In all cultures this mystical core was often encoded in symbolism, "the universal language" and the true significance was predominately passed on orally through familial lineage. Why would this also not apply to the Mayans as Hunbatz Men himself claimed? There are living Maya in Guatemala and other areas who also believe they are holding on to missing pieces of this rich and ancient legacy and do not feel the world is ready for it to be revealed quite yet. I wonder if this attitude is reflective of the serious prejudice, lack of ethics, and narrow mindedness of the "sholastic" community in the US and in Europe.

The prolific work of Gene D. Matlock has tried to shine light upon what might be one of the largest and overlooked mysteries in sociology and anthropolgy. Namely, a verifiable connection between the indigenous cultures of the Americas, like the Maya and the Nahuatl and their distant brothers in the East including specific populations in areas of India, Turkey, and Ceylon. Anyone desiring to know more about the true history of the Americas; as well as the Eastern origins of most Western philosophy and religion would do well to study Matlock's abundant research. In over 40 years of research he acquired an extensive but by no means exhaustive collection of evidence of an ancient and undeniable connection between the East and the West, as well as between the religions of Christianity and Krishtaya.

Kundalini Yoga: The Mother of the 27 branches of Yoga

Yogi Bhajan referred to Kundalini Yoga as the Mother of all the yogic traditions.  It was considered to be one of the three original branches of Yoga alongside Laya Yoga, and Tantric Yoga. According to Yogi Bhajan all three forms were practiced together and were taught openly in a way that allowed for whole villages to participate. The origins and development of yoga can be traced back over 40,000 years. This is way before the development of written history.
So what happened? Over time yoga was diluted and became divided. It broke off into many different schools, 27 in total, and each focused on a specific aspect of the individual. Each school was led by a teacher or hierarchy of teachers who had mastered a particular type of activity such as intellectual dialogue, physical activity, sound and mantra, etc. Students would attain knowledge from the 27 schools sequentially.

Yoga was eventually taught less openly and became highly secretive and selective. Only certain people of particular status or roles in society became privileged to the original teachings of yoga. These techniques became highly coveted due to their profound effects on consciousness, physical and mental health and vitality, and for other strongly desired outcomes.

To the original yogis a modern yoga class would probably be unrecognizable if not laughable or perhaps even worse. We are currently witnessing both the globalization and standardization of yoga. With its entry into the mainstream it has become even more diluted and divided. It would be difficult to count how many styles/types of yoga now exist.  Some styles have become more centered around a particular personality rather than any true difference in the technique or technology of that style.

In ancient cultures our ancestors were honored and respected. The elderly were taken care of and sought out for wisdom. Currently the elders of our planet are being ignored and dishonored. Their wisdom traditions are being lost and their warnings are going unheeded. Is this the way to treat and honor our mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and grandfathers? Could there be any other way to survive without the preservation of this precious knowledge?

With all the fresh, new and young styles of yoga available it has become  a very common thing to see yoga in advertisements, on billboards, in gyms and even corporations. Yoga has become hip and trendy and it has also become a gigantic industry in the West. There are many advantages that have come from the sudden surge in interest in yoga (and other eastern healing modalities). People have the opportunity to look and feel better. People often come to yoga with various concerns about their bodies and their minds. Meditation can provide immediate relief and assist in  stress reduction as well as having many other physical and psychological effects and benefits. I am very pleased with the spreading and diversification of yoga and I offer and give thanks everyday that this awareness may continue to grow and blossom like a field of beautiful flowers.

May all yogis and yoga schools resist the greatest tendency (temptation!), especially, in American corporations; which is to attempt to spread too aggressively. If not, they may just risk becoming a nuisance, like weeds in a garden. According to Wikipedia, "Weeds may be unwanted because they are unsightly or they limit the growth of other plants by blocking the light or using up all the nutrients from the soil. They can also harbor plant pathogens that can infect and degrade the quality of other plants." Is it possible that mainstream yoga may have weed-like tendencies and if so what can be done to curtail these untempered aspirations? What can be done to ensure that mainstream yoga does not continue to spread and grow like vines on the great concrete jungle strangling itself and the precious life beneath, in its unstoppable ambition to reach the top where the light (or in this case money) is?

Please don't misunderstand me. I am neither trying to scare anybody nor to say that the globalization of yoga is inevitably a bad thing.  I believe it is a wonderful thing! My only concern is that we have forgotten to honor the Mother (the origin) along the way. In Kundalini Yoga we call on this primal Mother, the Adi Shakti, for strength and protection. She is the Primal Power and She is the True Power. She is the Kundalini "Mata Shakti" herself!

Truthfully, she is more like our Great Great Great Grandmother than our "mother".  We are so many generations removed from the time of the great yogis let alone the "origins of yoga" that there is only a handful of people on the planet who can share this knowlgedge and remind us of the rich legacy that is  our birthright.  Yogi Bhajan was one of these unique individuals who came to serve and remind us of our greatness. This legacy is larger than we can imagine and it  must be collectively recalled if humanity is to make the eventual transition into a golden age or Age of Peace. Who can remember this great original teaching that can bring wisdom to the ignorant, peace to the violent, and prosperity to the poorest of beggars?

Who is it that longs to return to the heart of the Divine Mother? If yoga means union, then is it not time for the Divine Mother herself to finally reunite all her children? Her mission is to make them feel happy, healthy, safe, loved, and to know once and for all, that they too are Holy (holy=whole) beings.  Who will help her in her quest? Who will call on her power and grace? Whoever will awaken the Kundalini within him/her self and serve others will have all knowledge beyond time and space.  You will recognize these individuals by their radiant faces and their compassion, not by what cars they drive, their ads in Yoga Journal or on billboards, or how much money they have in the bank. You will recognize them only when you recognize your own face as the very face of the True Guru.
 Sat Nam!

Benefits of the Dreamspell and Thirteen Moon Calendars

According to Mayan Astrology (or The Dreamspell) my birthday is the day of the Magnetic Water Dog or salamander. I have learned that our birthdays contain the keys to our essence and our purpose as well as our personalities. Like many of the mystical arts, such as geomancy, palmistry, western astrology, numerology or even characterology, The Dreamspell and our galactic gateways (aka Solar Seals) provide us with a useful map to discover ourselves and view our relationships with more clarity and awareness. This map should never be mistaken for the actual territory it uncovers.
That territory is YOU! As a unique individual your spirit is unnameable and undefinable. Only the Hunab K'u, the one giver of measure and movement can comprehend, and is comparable to, your vastness and infinity. I pray that through the use of Mayan Astrology, numerology, Kundalini Yoga or any other sacred art, that you become aware of and embody more fully and consciously your unlimited essence, your unique purpose, longing and intelligence, and the means to express your individual cosmic truth through service, movement, song and art.

The lessons and essences I have received from studying my own Mayan astrology have to do with adaptation, metamorphosis, healing and love. My purpose is to unify myself (and others) and attract the essence qualities of love, loyalty and heart. I am guided by these same powers of love, loyalty and heart. I have experienced the magic that occurs when I follow my heart and longings.
I abide in wonder and awe at the multiple experiences of Synchronicity that have been a part of my daily life.  From the moment I began to consciously attune myself to the natural timing frequencies of the moon, sun, stars and planets it was as if I had access to increasingly multiple dimensions and extraordinary visions. I noticed that my dreams changed and a brand new world of magic and mystery began to present its secrets to me in a manner that felt gradual, intelligently guided, and strangely familiar. The paths to knowledge are truly many but I have learned that these paths share many common features and have remained constant throughout the various ages of humanity, despite the almost infinite changes that mankind itself has gone through.  A new challenge and treasure chest of information kept presenting itself  to me, each step of the way, along with the means to uncover the essence contained within each lesson.
"What was true in the beginning, is true through all the ages, true even now, this truth shall ever be!"- Guru Nanak

If the whole universe (one song) is synchronized and everything is perfectly in tune, how come so many people resist this state of synchronicity and accept an increasing amount of mechanicity (automatic behaviors and actions) into their lives? I would love to see the whole earth adopt a harmonized and universal timing system (endorsed by Mahatma Ghandi) such as the Thirteen Moon calendar, which synchronizes many diverse cycles, unifies and stabilizes culture, and brings the global mind (Noosphere) into balance.
I personally feel a strong connection to the ancient wisdom cultures, both in India, Tibet and Central America, which understood how the subtleties of out relationship to Time and Space affected our daily lives. Modern physics and physicists are slowly learning and appreciating the complexity of this knowledge that these ancient cultures demonstrated.  However, we are still decades if not centuries away from using the knowledge of quantum physics to the level and ability that the Mayans and other ancient cultures were able to use their unique understanding of Time and Space to develop and integrate these insights and awareness into their daily lives.
I sense my true heritage and spiritual roots belong to these ancient cultures. Helping others to connect to their cosmic origins and terrestrial ancestors, through their own cellular memory and through our ever-expanding collective global awareness, is one of multiple gifts that I am currently developing. I wish to share this skill with as many others as possible. In  Lak'ech!

About Me!

I am a White Magnetic Water Dog! I am a salamander. Salamanders are the elementals or devas of the fire realm. This fire is the type that purifies and heals but it can also burn if it is not tempered by the water of compassion. If anyone has ever felt burned or hurt by my fiery words/actions or unrestrained will I apologize as I am still learning to harness the qualities of metamorphosis and adaptation.

My interests and passions include Kundalini Yoga, Numerology, Mayan and Western Astrology, Healing, Music, Myth, Mantra and more.... These are all expressions of my fiery nature and are guiding me to attain mastery over my incendiary inclinations.

I will be graduating from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in June 2008. My intention is to use this blog to share and express the gifts and knowledge I am uncovering as my path unfolds.

I do not own or have any authority in regards to this wisdom. It is not meant to represent the opinions of any one specific path of wisdom or claim to be authoritative. I can only hope that this blog serves as a reminder/reflection for the infinite wisdom that resides in your own heart.

Today's Reminder:
Love, Truth and Trust!

Part 1: Love

These are three tools we always have at our disposal. We are constantly mirroring one or more of these qualities or else we are choosing to stand in their shadow. I have often mistaken or underestimated the power of these divine qualities, which needless to say has gotten me into much unnecessary trouble and confusion.

Love is the quality which I seek to Unify and Attract. In order to love unconditionally I open my heart to the matrix of life as well as open my life to the matrix of heart. This matrix is forever unified and connects all beings. When I am in my heart and not my head I can feel all the suffering caused by my own illusions. Some of these illusions are inherent in our concepts of right and wrong, good and bad, light and dark, movement and stillness, etc..

My purpose is to love. To love unconditionally is to have purpose. Love is the essence of relationship ( Relationship="Our" Elation Ship) It binds and attracts the beings that belong in our life. If you feel the right types of people are not prevalent in your life or they tend to come and go too rapidly, I suggest learning to harness this quality.

How to Perfect Unconditional Love:
Allow your awareness to enter your heart. Soften your belly and breathe deeply. Feel the spark of love as it expands into your auric field. Allow it to expand spherically (outward) as well as cellulary (inward). Now relax your focus at your brow, third eye, and let your breath swirl and dance as your inner vision expands and clears. From this higher perspective ask yourself, "In what areas of your life do you require more unconditional love?" Do your personal relationships, professional life, or family environment challenge your ability to shine and express your love? If so try and allow your love to surround and nourish one specific situation where this quality may be lacking. If you practice this exercise daily you will be surprised at how quickly your ability to love unconditionally increases and the results that follow may surprise even the most cynical of skeptics.

The power of Love can not be denied, defined , or destroyed. Jimi Hendrix said, "When the power of love, is greater than the love of power, the world will know peace."

I am learning not to confuse love with its close friends truth and trust. Like any group of close friends these qualities are related but unique. I will conclude this entry with a statement that reflects an important spiritual principle/lesson: Only through proper differentiation/discernment can we approach the palace of individuation whose doors represent the gates of unification. Liberation is to be found within this palace at a secret point upon the altar of......
